Always Too Loud

Christopher Cross still has a great voice (to his fans) but he insists on his band playing too loud for his voice and style. We saw him in a small venue (City Winery) and he blasted us out of there too. I even asked the sound guy about it and he said "he likes it loud" After this latest experience in a larger venue that should be able to handle his love of loud but didn't, I think I'm over buying tickets for his shows unless it's acoustic or one or two people accompanying him. He sounds great when it's him and his guitar, or Just Him. At least, turn down the band and turn UP your microphone. I'm a big fan but I can't take it anymore.
